Highlander … The fantastic universe that has gone to eternity and doomed to eternity in the hearts of devoted fans, telling about the confrontation of the legendary immortal, which can only be cut off by their heads, and the killer in this case transmit experience, skills and knowledge of the fallen. Its beginning was laid in the distant 1986 with the release of the film of the same name from Russell Mulcahy, where the main character was an immortal named Connor Macleod from the Maclaudian clan performed by Christopher Lamberte.

Needless to say, this tape without exaggeration itself became an immortal classic and the no less immortal musical hits “Princes of the Universe” and “A Kind of Magic” performed by the Queen group, subsequently parting to a whole franchise, which included several ambiguous full -length continuations, associated with the original, a separate series (Highlander: The Series), a full animated series (Highlander: The Animated Series), its accompanying toys, as well as anime, books, comics and much more. Perhaps in the future I will take a chance to make out all the nuances of the universe, but today’s release, as you already understood, I would like to devote precisely animation incarnation and a small series of action figures for its reasons. A little about the animated series and personal memories ..

This work of a joint Franco-Canadian production of Gaumont studio is the spin-off of the film, which tells about the descendant of Connor Maclaude named Quentin and is an adventure in the post-apocalyptic entourage, though it is worth noting the fact that, due to certain events that occurred in the fourth tape (although it came out much later), it is not a one hundred percent canon. For seven centuries, humanity has lived in ignorance from the very moment when a meteorite in an instant destroyed almost everything that was created thousands of years.

For seven centuries over the world, an ominous immortal named Cortayne dominated, expressing his will from the fortress city of the Monta, when, like the other immortals, contrary to him, they decided to abandon the struggle among themselves and vowed to preserve the lost knowledge, from now on calling themselves to the jettators, because they always lived shoulder to shoulder with people, even for all their similarities and for all their similarity to them and. They were a step above. Hiding from this tyrant, they are waiting for the last of the Maclauds – the chosen one, to whom they will once transmit their knowledge and who will use it in the name of the liberation of the human race and victory over a powerful evil.

For seven centuries, the oldest and noble immortal named Ramirez waited for the appearance of this young hero, who should be taught, protected and directed until he was ready for the most important battle of his life.

In general, Quentin is a fairly smart young man who has learned a lot from Dundie and from his surrounding environment. Living in this clan without worries and worries, he did not know what dangers could be expected, which in turn helped him become brave and self -confident.

He also has a personal weapon in the form of a boomerang, he has not parted with which since childhood. Being an expert in his throwing, this thing has repeatedly helped Maclaud in heavy alterations.

He did not know about his “chosenness” to the very last moment of the life of AiFa. Literally before her death, this hero had to prove his courage as an immortal.

He is prepared to cross the swords in the greatest battle with Cortan, in order to finally free people from his tyranny and return it to them long -lost knowledge.

Along with Cortane Ramirez, one of the oldest immortal. Rumor has it that he is more than three thousand years old. The jettators chose him by the mentor of Quentin because of his extensive knowledge and vast experience, which he acquired for such a long life. On the shoulders of this hero is the task of directing and protecting the young highlander on his way to knowledge.

Cortane fears Quentin and frantically pursues two goals:

1. Save and increase both your strength and the power of the moon.
2. Find and destroy the young highlander until he receives knowledge that can make him a really dangerous enemy.

By nature, Malone is an ordinary puny man of a thin nature who loves to blow up, but he is pretty smart, cunning and very insidious.

He is the only approximate Cortane who personally saw his fear and fears about the highlander. Thanks to such a close relationship, this character from time to time allows himself to be ironic, sarcastic and even somewhat impudent with his master.

Cortayne himself is completely not averse to distracting, and such antics even amuse him … Gotes, which sometimes become prophetic.

The life of Malone always hangs in the balance, for he is a “living key” from the weapons chamber in which the magnificent blade of this sinister tyrant is stored and at any moment he can befall the fate of the predecessors, whom the lord decided to replace. On the one hand, he is akin to things, but at the same time, this damned villain is vital.

Given the fact that all the “keys” are erased by the memory when turning, the only goal of this guy is survival and, if possible, attempt to get rid of the suffering and/or the ardor of the rest. One of his favorite past events is the exacerbation of an already tense rival between Arak (Arak) and Asklepios (asklepios).

Personally, I really liked this animated series in childhood, and even selectively reviewing it recently, my opinion has not changed at all. I do not argue that he is naive, not devoid of stamped stupidity of heroes / villains and all in this spirit, but for personally by my modest standards, a very suitable adaptation of an adult franchise for a young audience, where, in addition to a pleasant drawing, quite interesting messages are hidden. It is interesting for the characters to observe, empathize, and just learn something new. Each series is a separate story, but within the framework of a holistic plot (if it can be considered). In general, recalling myself in my youth, thanks to this work I myself wanted to create and come up with my stories, my characters, inspired by the same consumable meat in the form of hunters, not to mention the Cortane’s sword was generally a tremendous dream for a personal collection. By the way, about collecting, I think that many of you did not even suspect the existence of toys based on this animated creation, actually your humble servant, which means that it is time to correct this annoying misunderstanding and talk about the plastic heritage of Title!

As for the figures, this is generally a separate topic, personally forcing me to dream of a personal collection, but the good can still be found completely unconscious specimens that cannot but rejoice!
